At the September 2021 Town Board Meeting, the Board voted to approve the addition of a demolition permit, roofing permit, and clarifying language around WECS projects.
402.1(B) Demolition Permit
The Board voted to add a required Demo Permit to the 402.1 Building Ordinance.
If demo is being done, and a replacement building is going up, the form for demo permit must be filled out, but no fee for demo is charged, just the normal permit fee. The ordinance will read as follows:

Roofing Permit
The Board voted to add a required Roofing Permit to the 402.1 Building Ordinance.
This will help us to be sure that replacement roofs are being done to code. A separate roofing permit will not be required in new construction; that is already a part of any new construction.
Change Verbiage of WECS Ordinance to Match CSECS
When the WECS and CSECS were added to the Zoning Ordinance, there was a part in the CSECS regarding contingent properties. That was omitted in error from the WECS. The Board voted to amend WECS to allow for contingent properties to be able to waive the setbacks.
The first highlighted section below shows how the Solar part of the ordinance reads. The second highlighted part shows the Wind part of the ordinance.

In the second section, the Board voted to add the following:
“In the case of a WECS project crossing over a property line, no setbacks are required on the contiguous portions of that WECS. Setbacks still apply to the right of ways and existing residence, church or school in this case.”
